Puppies

Additional Information

We only have two or three litters each year. These dogs are our family pets. The puppies are born and raised in our home, around our kids and other animals. They are well socialized for a family environment, being exposed to the many sights, sounds and activities of a busy household.

There is always someone at home with the animals, and we start working with the puppies on crate and potty training at a young age.

We let the mother wean the puppies herself, as we’ve found that this makes for a more confident, secure personality. Also, we perform early neurological stimulation on days 3 through 16. ENS has been proven to have many benefits over the lifetime of the dog, including improved cardiovascular performance (heart rate), stronger heart beats, stronger adrenal glands, more tolerance to stress, and greater resistance to disease. In terms of learning, the pups are more active and exploratory and are better in competitive situations, as well as display increased problem solving skills. (Read more about ENS below ...)

We work daily on socialization, and strive to raise puppies that are well adjusted and exposed to as many situations as possible. Starting at 4 weeks of age, the puppies are “loved on” by people of all ages. We even introduce all of our pups to our cat, Mittens, and are planning future field trips to visit a local farm with horses, cows, goats, sheep & chickens!

Our obstacle course also begins at 4 weeks. This encourages the puppies to explore their surroundings and challenge themselves. We constantly change textures the puppies feel with their paws and introduce the puppies to strains and other challenges.

Starting in the fall of 2017, we've also implemented Jane Killion's Puppy Culture training methods - working on rearing, socialization & training the pups from the moment they are born right up through to the day they go to their new, forever homes! (Read more below...)

We want our puppies to have the best start in life that we can give them, and so we feed them the very best quality food - Life's Abundance - and make sure that they receive proper veterinary care before they leave us for their forever homes. We also feed an amazing supplement, NuVet Plus, that helps boost the immune system. I believe in the food & supplements we feed so much, that I've offered a 5 year health guarantee to those who've continued feeding it. We have a vested interest in the wellbeing of these puppies, and will always be here to answer any questions or to help with any problems. Do not hesitate to contact us – we’re more than happy to help!

We offer a 1 year health guarantee on all puppies, as well as an extension to a 5 year guarantee when you continue feeding Life's Abundance puppy food and NuVet Plus supplement. We send them home with a puppy packet that includes photos of your puppy & its parents, tips from the breeder, a bag of Life's Abundance Large Breed Puppy food & a 3 day supply of NuVet Plus, information on basic puppy training, information specifically about the Golden Retriever breed, information about obedience training, copies of the vet records, a copy of the health guarantee & sales contract, and copies of the parents’ registration papers, as well as a form for you to register your puppy with the AKC.

We recommend visitations with your new puppy starting at 4 weeks of age with everyone in the family. You can finally bring your new puppy home at 8 weeks of age.

We do not ship, you must pick up your puppy. (Occasionally, we can make arrangements to deliver your puppy or meet part-way at an additional cost.)

Also, we do NOT remove dew claws..
