Spun Gold Golden Retrievers is located in the scenic Chattanooga, Tennessee area. We are a Golden family first and foremost, dedicated to the preservation and advancement of world-class purebred English Golden Retrievers. Our entire family is involved in the care of our Goldens, as well as the raising of our adorable puppies.
SGGR World-Class Goldens are bred for temperament, health, breed type, and intelligence. Originally, our program included only AKC (American) Golden Retrievers. However, once we imported our first Golden Retriever from Europe (aka English Créme) to add to our program, we decided to focus our breeding efforts solely on these gorgeous dogs with world-class show ring pedigrees.
Spun Gold is a 14-year Tennessee/Georgia AKC English Golden breeder. Our breeding program has been built upon generations of International show champion dogs with an emphasis on supreme breed type, health, and temperament. Spun Gold Golden Retrievers are bred to be elegant athletes, with impeccable conformation, superb temperaments and correct Golden Expression.
Top Genetics & Health Clearances
Although we started out with our beloved American Golden Retrievers, we altered our program to focus exclusively on the English Créme Goldens. There is absolutely nothing better than a Golden Retriever - unless it's an English Créme Golden Retriever! These European imports take the Golden Retriever goodness to the next level: even more tolerant and easygoing temperament, lower energy level, superior health, exceedingly biddable, wonderful manners, and heightened intelligence.
Our main objective is to breed quality Goldens to the breed standard - focusing on temperament and health first and foremost.
We have our dogs tested for hip & elbow dysplasia, ichthyosis (ICT), heart & eye issues (including PRA1, PRA2, prcd-PRA), NCL, and DM — which are the typical health concerns in the Golden Retriever breed.
Also, we are not a typical "kennel." All of our dogs are our pets, and they live in the house with us. And, that's exactly where the puppies are born, raised and trained.

I'm quite thrilled that we've been blessed to have these wonderful dogs in our lives! We breed sparingly, however, and only have about 2 litters per year. We always have a reservation list going on future litters, as they tend to get snapped up quickly - so please don't hesitate to contact us!
When you purchase a world-class dog from SGGR, you also get access to us - including our considerable knowledge and experience - for the life of your dog.
